The total price for the road toll per kilometer driven consists of three different components: Infrastructure, CO2, and air pollution and noise.
The price for infrastructure covers the wear and tear that occurs when trucks drive on the roads.
The price for CO2 covers the CO2 emissions from trucks.

On all roads excluding the low emission zones

The price in the low emission zones is 50% higher than the rest of the road network. This is because the many residents in these areas are extra exposed to air pollution and noise from truck traffic.
Total price in the low emission zones
The total price in the low emission zones is the additional price for the low emission zones combined with the price for the remaining road network.

The fee will be reduced by approximately 19 percent in 2025-2027 and by approximately 12 percent in 2028 due to a new political agreement.
